FomocoService
I got this wheel in a group of Model A Ford parts I bought. It's 17 inches tall, but I forgot to get the other demensions!I'm trying to figure out what it fits so I can trade it or sell it to someone who needs it.It's quite heavy compared to a Ford Spoked wheel, I'm assuming the red paint on the inside is original as I found it under the rim liner. Thanks for any replies. West Peterson
Cadillac, Packard, Nash (not Lincoln) went to the 17-inch drop center wheels in 1933. I think the lug pattern may be the clue, and the way in which the spokes are attached.
West Peterson
Lincoln used a 17-inch wire wheel in 1935, and 1935 only, and I know they were known to use Kelsey as a supplier.
FomocoService
Thanks for the help! I'm not beyond bead blasting it and putting a good coat of paint on it along with a hub cap and tire and use it for a display in my shop office.......
West Peterson
That's what I did with a Dayton knock-off wire wheel I bought for $10 at a flea market. I'm just looking for the right tire to mount.
CarlLaFong
It's 17 inches tall, Is this the measurement to the outer lip? If so, then it is a 16" wheel, since the wheel diameter is measured from the drop center
FomocoService
I measured 17" from the center.. not the lip.. with the lip it measures a bit over 18" from edge.
FLM
The bolt pattern and the 17" rim size lead me to say Cadillac. '34-'35.
