Mike Cullen Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 It doesn't matter much what you use, today's fuels cause problems with cork floats. (not necessarily the cork, the sealant) There is a synthetic material available that is not affected by fuel and makes outstanding floats but I can't remember the exact name. Try searching for carb restoration shops and see what they use for floats. Liberty Cycle in Illinois makes great floats for Linkert Carbs with this material and may be able to lead you in the right direction. Liberty Motorcycle Specialties, Inc. 118 N.
