Thanks Bill for your 'on the money' diagnosis. I replaced the O2 sensor, and not only is she running better, but from what I can gather, getting much better mileage. Looks like I can give ethe wife shopping $$$ after all... <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the thanks. Glad to help. Did you do it yourself or let the mechanic have an excuse for cussing?

I'm doing a 2.2 with a lockup 670 transmission and MPGMike ported head with oversize valves, and TU header, swingvalve, and exhaust on my daily driver just to see how many mpg I can get from the 8 valves.

It's a stupid idea to try to get a few extra mpg from an automatic 8 valve engine.
