Willys engine

I have this engine and wandered if someone might be able to share some information with me. I purchased this engine and a guy told me that it is a 1939 Willys car engine. The numbers on the lower side of the block are 12 12 636933 w2. The numbers on the head are 2/21 6398600. The numbers on the side of the block in the oval are 39-10170. Also the generator numbers are gar 4808 a580 47183. Does anyone have any ideas about this motor and generator? Thanks, Chuck

Do you have a pic of your engine? I purchased an engine that the guy said it came out of a 41 Willys car. It has a Jeep head on it. It does not appear to have fittings for an oil filter and oil pressure gage. Does your engine have these fittings?
