I could use this for my Wildcat. LeSabre and Electa is the same part for the tank at least.

Thanks.

Thanks Rob. I'll follow up with the Minnesota lead first since I could get it in a day...although it would be nice to get back to Saskatoon again, but it would turn into a two day trip for sure.

Just a thought, would a tank from an Impala, Catalina, or Bonneville work if one of these falls through? If the filler neck is different, I'm sure your shop could swap necks.

I've had the same thoughts, but I don't have an interchange manual, so I don't know myself...I'd need help getting that info.

I have what I think is the tank from a 65 Electra. If that will interchange and we can figure out a way to get it to you from California, send me the measurements to be sure it is correct. I would be happy with $20. plus shipping for the tank.

Thanks for the generous offer Fred.

On Friday, I'm going to pick up the one in Minnesota - it's from a '66 Wildcat, so we know it is correct.

Thanks for all the responses. It looks like I'll get what I need. The BCA Forums strike again <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Hey Derek,

When you pick up the tank, check it out for vent pipe location, or what ever system was used to replace the gas with air!, and then when its installed make sure it works! Then let me know how it works. Call me curious.

I'm curious too, since the vent pipe was apparently cleaned up and dealt with when the tank was coated in 2005. The only thing I can think of, assuming we are dealing with competent people, is that the Rust Check oil got in there enough to plug it up or something like that.

Road trip Friday!

I'd even consider keeping you company on the road trip, but I have a wedding to attend, friends, and I offered the 47 as a backdrop for pictures, so duty calls!

Going to use the Albert St area for vintage type pictures and scenery,... I'm looking forward to see what the photographer can develop! They hired a pro, so should be good. I hope the bride doesn't block out too much of the car in the pictures! haha.
