I have never ran it up that high, I was getting nervous at 5500 rpm! I suppose the roller valve train can handle this, though peak power and torque are well below that on a STOCK engine.

ANCX ('88 update) has fuel cut off at 6000 rpm and resume at 5800. Will also cut off fuel at 125 mph.

This talk of a fuel cut-off is interesting.Remember a week or so ago, I put a '88 ECM in my '90, and the speedo went ape poopoo; maxed out at 158mph. But it still ran. Replaced the PROM with the one from the '90, and all was well. Now, I've put a 3800 and electronics from a '87 Park Ave into a '86 Fiero using the wrong VSS, and when the speedo went ape, the engine would cut out, and restart when the "speed" dropped, probably due to this inherent feature in the ECM.

Right - In Reatta you had right VSS-ECM values, just readout (from BCM) was wrong. <P>In Fiero, VSS output was wrong for ECM so it thought the car was really going that fast.
