Guest Faust Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 This is a manifold I picked up at a swap meet, because it looked like a Buick. It is one piece, so I assume it is for a small series Buick. Can anyone help?
Patrick W. Brooks Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 HEY, I found it. Exhaust manifolds are Group 3.601 and number 1298001 is listed for 1934 through 1938, Series 40 only. Good Luck. Patrick W. Brooks
Fred Rawling Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Interestingly, my 1937 parts book lists that part number for 1937 ser 40 and part no. 1282884 for 1934 to 1936. Probably the later parts books just listed the later part number for replacement and did not worry about small differences in the parts as long as they worked. I have noticed that on head bolts. The 1937 parts book lumps 1925 to 1941 head bolts together where the 1930 book lists a different lenght for 1925 to 1930.Fred
Patrick W. Brooks Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Hello Fred: The parts book I used was a 1947 issue. Rechecked it this morning and it still read the same. Have encountered this before andthought it a bit strange when I first read the book. Still, it mustwork or they would not have listed it. Patrick W. Brooks
