Hi!

Before I order a new MSD-pro billet "ready to run" distributor from the US, I wonder if anyone has some experience with this distributor. I only found one feedback from one person...and it was not good. Please respond if any of you Riv owners has installed one of them, and tell me how it works??!! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Keep them old Riv's runnin'!

PS. Anyone know how/where to get new rear package tray for 63-65 Riviera?

I installed a MSD distributor on my '63 Riviera with great results. I've had it for about a year and half with absolutely no problems. I left well enough alone, and stuck with the advance curve that was preset on the unit. Performance has been excellent, while acheiving 14 mpg on western North Carolina mountain roads. Overall, a vast improvement over the original distributor with Pertronix added. The car has 59,000 original miles on the original engine and transmission, so I just don't want to push my luck by pushing the performance envelope too far. For me, the MSD was worth it.

Good to hear!!

I've just ordered one now, and I'm very excited! The old distributor has an unknown (high) milage, but everything else has been overhauled last winter. Thank You so much for feedback! I'll let you know how my 64'Riv "feels" with the new MSD dist. when I get it!

Thanks again,

Thanks man!

I will call him soon! My old package tray is totally worn out! looks like somebody left it in the rain for 30 years, and left it to dry in the sun afterwards....

Best wishes,

RTH
