hubbard1532 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 If anyone has a driver side door and window PLEASE reply to us. We have a 91 Chrysler TC with a damaged driver side door. It is undrivable because of this problem. Would prefer red color but any color will do. Thanks, Cliff & Judy Hubbard 504-723-0400
car_chick Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 If you don't find a perfect one, I have one with some minor damage that does not prevent the car from being driven, and *should* be repairable by a good body shop. It is red. The window is still in it and the window motor functions fine. I am in Virginia. I will post a photo shortly.
car_chick Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Photo of door attached to above post...The damage is to the side view morror mounting area - the car was sideswiped and the mirror torn off, although the sheetmetal wasn't hit. The mounting bracket would need to be straightened and a small amount of sheet metal would have to be worked under the chrome strip and mirror mounting area, and you would need to find a new mirror. Also the door-ding moulding at the leading edge of the door (hinge side) has pulled away for about 3-4". It would simply need new adhesive to reattach, and the clear coat is peeling near the chrome belt trim as you can see in the pic$50.00 for the door + any freight costs if you cannot pick up the door here. See photo attached to this post for damage to mirror area.
car_chick Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Here is a final picture of the door. The leading edge by the hinge has the paint chipped off where the fender rubs but the sheet metal seems ok. A touch of surface rust perhaps. You can see the moulding in this picture as well.
