Guest reattafun Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I have a caliper that seems stuck and does not want to go back inside to allow room for new pads. Is there a step with these 91 abs brakes I need to do?Chris in Ohio
Guest EDBS0 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Let me guess it is the rear http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/bostonindustrial_1941_50483391This is the tool you want to screw the piston in with.
padgett Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I just applied a little (very little) pressure on the piston and backed of the screw in the back using the lever. Didn't know you needed a special tool.
Guest EDBS0 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The more tools the better and shiny ones count triple points
Guest reattafun Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 It was the front. It would not go back until I opened the bleeder and let the fluid out. I think the piston is bad.The rear brake looks simple exept for the emergency cable system in the way.I wanted to change the brakes and rotors then take it in to garage for changing the brake fluid.Chris in Ohio
