Guest Posted November 15, 2001 Share Posted November 15, 2001 It actually shuts off while your foot is on the throttle? When you accelerate, the IAC should open up somewhat, to keep the engine from stalling when the throttle slams shut and allow a controlled engine deceleration, plus it's good for emissions.
