RayS
My 90 conv dash goes black and "ELECTRICAL PROBLEM" light comes on. the car still runs and drives fine, the cruse control still works. The only thing that is on is "00" for speed and "ERROR" for the odometer and trip.Any thoughs or ideas on this problem that might help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ray
Guest F14CRAZY
You can try pulling it out, spraying electrical connector cleaner, and putting it back in. The '90-91 dash panels often do go bad though, you may have a bad solder joint somewhere in the thing. If that doesn't solve it, look into obtaining a good one from Jim Finn or using the "rebuild" service on ebay.
Jim
The IPC is the most common part to go bad in the '90-91 Reattas and when it does it will read 00 and error. I do have a good one available and can be reached at jfinn@cpinternet.com
bwarren
I have had this happen once. Ironically it was because I had and ?electrical problem?. I can?t remember exactly what I was messing with (after market radio?), but undid what ever I messed up and the display returned to normal. For a short time I was sweating bullets. If you have had recent electrical work done, you might need to start their. Brian
