1939 ATALANTA (LINCOLN ZEPHYR V12) IGNITION COIL

Recommended Posts

Our Atalanta finally came back to life for two short days. Lost ignition fire to one side. Anyone have a good source for ignition parts. Already contacted Sacramento Vintage, they only have V-8 parts. Any help would be appreciated.

earle browne listed under the sources listing of this website has a good selection of v12 ignition parts including rebuilt coils and distributors. you also might consider sending yours to jake fleming for rebuild or repair. he also is listed under sources on this website. both are very knowledgable and helpful. david

You might get lucky and just have a bad condenser. be sure both wires to the coil have voltage.

The best thing to do of course is to send the distributor and coil to Jake for a complete check out as so many other things can be the cause.

Dear Mr D Evans, don't know if you are still out there after the passing of 3 years, I picked you up on the web and wondered if you were interested in making contact. I have an Atalanta V12 in the UK and would be interested to talk to any other owners.
