pketch
hard to find, like hen's teeth. Dealer doesn't have it nor does softseal. They are just not available anymore.
Found this on eBay. $65.00 free shipping I beleive there are 65 of these total. Check it out. The way I understand it is that this peice is where the roof meets the windshield.
A little skeptic? Just a tad. Paid by credit card just in case.
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=597597162

Guest
I took a quick look at this description and believe its the strip that runs along the bottom of the rear of the top, not the windshield. I did email the seller but haven't received an answer yet. I'd like a new strip for the top of the windshield if anyone finds them.
pketch
I am glad that you pointed that out. Being that strip is the one that fails most often. You have made my day.
What is up with the list of cars at bottom? Is it suppose to indicate that in the past you were hung up on Jap imports and have now realized that American is the way to go? Just courious
pketch
Might as well list all my vehicles. Do you think that these should be listed with each posting?
84 Chevy Celeberty
85 Harley Davidson
86 El Camino
90 Buick Reatta
91 Olds Toronado Trofeo
See a simularity here?
AMERICAN
Guest
I seemed to be in a two seater mood after I retired. I first bought the MX2. Fun car with no problems. My neighbor owned the zx300 since new and sold to me for $2000. In great shape. Actually bought for my girlfriends daughter, but she had 3 accidents in her dads car the first week she had her license, so she's not getting it now. I always wanted a reatta conv, and when I saw a good deal on it couldn't pass it up. My girlfriend is driving my '98 Chrysler for a few months and I needed a highway car. Both the MR2 and the 300ZX are for sale off and on. When I sell those I want an Allante. Might even have to go back to work!
pketch
There out there to be had. If you are going to go with that Allante the best one is the last year, which is 93. If you can't find a 93 get a 92. Both have the NorthStar which is the perferred unit. Myself, I try to stay with the vehicles that I can work on and that is a poor attempt at best. Guest
Do your homework on the Allante'. I'm in the market for one also, and I've never heard of any of them other than the '93's as having the Northstar engine ! And all years seem to be fairly available on eBay and Autotrader. Much easier to come by than a Reatta.
pketch
Well punkchop being that I could careless about that car I don't see any reason to do any type of homework on it.
