Guest
I recently had my A/C serviced. When I left the shop, my cruise control didn't work anymore. The mechanic said he had nothing to do with it. My cruise control turns on and it registers on the screen what speed I chose and I can even bump it up if I want, but It won't lock in the gas pedal. Any suggestions?
Guest EDBS0
On the 89 there is a metal "U" clip that holds the vacuum servo to the rod that controls the throttle. It could be knocked off. It is on the driver's side of the engine close to the firewall.
Check the electrical connections on the servo, probably should be cleaned with a contact cleaned and then exercised by connection and reconnecting several times.
Make certain that the vacuum line was not knocked off the servo.
Good luck, Robert
