carlivar
Just got a 71 Riviera and I'm disappointed it has no power trunk release. Are these rare? How hard are they to add, assuming I was able to find one? What years would fit? Thanks!
Philippe Racicot
Quite easy to add and to find! I can't tell you what years will fit but they were quite common. I added it to my 1974 LeSabre in just a few minutes! (ok maybe an hour!)
bob71GS
71 & 72's used a plunger type power trunk release. In 73 the locking mechmechanism was changed due to the redesign of the back end with a new deck lid and bumper. Complete units are becoming very hard to find as you also need the switch that goes into the glove box. Guest Riviera66
Bob's definitely right... a '71 and '72 Riviera Power Trunk release can take a VERY long time to find. G'luck.Darwin Falk66-70 ROA Technical Advisor (but has a '71 too)
