Dear BNTZ:

The usual survival rate of convertibles is around 1 to 1 1/2 %, because they are almost always considered "collectible". Based on this, the number remaining would be 40 to 60 cars. The survival rates of Buicks varies within year by model and from year to year. 1938's and 1940's have about a 1 to 2% survival rate, but 1939's are about a half of that, because they were notorious for oveheating. 1939 Roadmaster sedans (model 81) were used as parts cars for the restoration of the bigger Limiteds and for the convertible sedans, so their survival rate is down around 3/10ths % of the 5460 that were built.
