I would imagine that an AC compressor from any Mitsu 3.0 engine would work.

I'm pretty sure I have one in my parts car. I can check and see if it works if you like? I just have to put a battery in the car and start her up.

I have 8 other cars though, including a pretty nice original Red/Ginger 89 TC named Guido.

Tripblk, my next day off is Thursday. Providing it isn't raining then and if the parts car's A/C system has enough freon to kick the compressor on I can try to check it for you. We'll see what happens...

Sigh, I wish I had space for a half dozen or so more cars, I think I passes on three parts cars in the last year alone.

Do all your cars have names? Or just the Italian ones? Auto or 5spd 89 TC?

My cars all have names and it is an eclectic group to be sure, which includes a 1966 International Loadstar 1600 named Hilda.

My TC is not a 5 speed, it is the Daytona Turbo II engine, which on one hand means it isn't as "exotic", but on the other hand, I can at least find parts fairly readily and it is far more reliable than the Maser engine since the late 80's and early 90's were the epitome of Maserati's darker moments.

One advantage of not living anywhere near a city is having enough land to indulge my two passions: cars and horses. The other, of course, is not having nosey neighbours or HOA's to try to tell me what to do with my own property.

Ouch, that stings a bit Chick, your treading my fovorite engine in the world and I have built DOZENS of motors. Sure there are folks who have built hundreds but they do that kind of thing for a living not just a hobby. Yep, parts are scarce for the DOHC motors but I can assure you there are no durability issues with that engine, pistons/rods/crankshafts are all much stronger than the SOHC/Daytona equivalent. Just like anything, it's all what you are into. I don't think the folks on the Maserati BiTurbo list think of the 80's-90's as the 'darker moments' Neither do we

We're still glad to have you here as an active member

No disrespect intended. Just going by what folks who have the twin cam version post on various club BB's. That their cars look "reel purdy" sittin' in the driveway while they look for parts that are very dear to get them running again.

I've attached a photo of Guido and his clone

You wouldn't by chance know the location or the owners of any of those DOHC cars sitting unloved would you?? Always looking for another project...

Hey Car Chick,

I just checked out your attachment to Alan, it's almost a sacrilege to leave them outside, I just put up a 32'x26' carport with 3 sides to keep mine out of the weather. Bring yours down and put it under cover....
