csell_willys
Anybody know if fenders from a '22 coupe will fit a '23 coupe? How about the running boards?
Brian_Heil
Fenders were of a new design in 1923 and have a higher crown to them than 1922. I do not know if 1922 fenders will fit a 1923. They are very similar but not exactly the same so they could fit I'm 99% certain the 4 cylinder fenders for either year are shorter than the six cylinder fenders but the fenders are common across models otherwise. i.e. there were only two size fenders for each year, 4' and 6's.If the fenders you have are for the same engine size, they just may fit and only me and a dozen other people will be able to tell the difference. csell_willys
Thanks. It sounds like I should just stick with the front fenders I have. What can you tell me about the rear fenders and the running boards/side filler panels?
jbbuick22
First, is this a 6 cyl. model 48 ? The parts manual lists only two #'sfor the front fenders,(long 124" wheelbase, 48,49,50,54,and 55, and short 118" 44,45,and 47.The difference between 22 and 23,is that 22 has a beaded edge and 23 does not,the diff. would be quite noticeable. As for the rear each model has it's own fender, wider for touring than a sedan or coupe. The side aprons are longer for the long wheelbase, and are the same for all124". The running boards are wood cut to size, and covered with gray linoleum. JB22-6-55 Sport Touring
csell_willys
It's a 4 cylinder. Wheel base is about 109". I believe it to be a model 36.
Leif Holmberg
There are different numbers between 1922 and 1923 Side Aprons 4 cyl.mod. 1923 and 1924 4 cyl.mod.has the same Front Fenders . 1922 mod.36 Rear Fenders has its own number,so they are a little bit different from others 4 cyl.1922.
