Barney Eaton Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 We had a little rain, and cold, and sleet......not unusual for us but they seldom come all together. This 1940 Special showed up on a local consignment lot last week. Picture attached. I stopped and looked it over. The body looks pretty good but it needs lots of detail work and there are some thing wrong, like the passanger side hood latch is a drivers side unit (Special is upside down)Well yesterday someone slid off the road, across the ditch and into the fence of the lot, exactly where the 1940 was parked. You can see the damage to the right front fender. The wheel now has lots of camber. The car has Kansas tags and the asking price was $12,500
Guest imported_Thriller Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 That's a shame. I wonder how much the price will come down....So it seems much of the US is actually experiencing something like winter (except some of those folks in the NE who are still whining about having no safe ice for ice fishing). There was an article on the news tonight about fruit and vegetables in CA getting frozen, so our fresh produce prices are going to jump.
pirate Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 not exactly the cold weather in Manatoba but us here in the NE are damn cold now. It is 12 degrees in our little town in Massachusetts. A shame that Buick fell victim to a poor driver and icy roads. Not a hard fix tho.
