jimkf
I picked this old wheel up today at an auction but have no idea what it might fit. It's 24 inches across and is not of the demountable variety. There's remnants of dark grey paint on the wood spokes. The screw on center cap has no idetifyable manufacturers mark on it, nor does the suspension mount on the rear. There is a hole in the rim for a valve stem. I know it's not much to go on, but perhaps somebody out there might know what it fits. I have more pictures of the wheel available. It's for sale...cheap...to anyone who might need it! JFranklin
My guess would be a 1921 Wode, a foriegn make named after a french color dye (transalated, rendered noble) the dye was promoted by Napolian. I wouldn't know for sure without seeing a photo.
jimkf
Here are a couple of photos of the wheel that might help to ID it.http://my.stratos.net/~jimkf/wheelfrt.JPGhttp://my.stratos.net/~jimkf/wheelback1.JPG

jimkf
The king pin boss is about 3 1/2 inches tall and about 3/4 of an inch wide (ID). The hub is threaded on the outside.
