Need help with work on 48 Chevy PU

I have a 48 Chevy PU that I've had in my family for years. It isn't running, has a 6cyl and original tranny and rear end. I want to get it street worthy so I can drive it around town and stay up with the traffic. I need someone who can get this truck mechically set for driving, whether it be rebuilding the engine or putting in a new one. The tranny needs rebuilding, and the rear end changed. The wiring is 6 volt, but I want to convert it to 12.

I live in Orange County, CA, just south of Los Angeles. Does anyone know someone who's in Orange County who can help me clean this truck up mechanically so I can drive it and complete the bodywork restoration? Only trusted/experienced please.
