clarkgray Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Hello,I am writing a book about my great uncle and need to identify a car he is standing next to in a photo. I want to make every attempt to find accurate information instead of saying something like, "He's seen standing next to a really big, old car". From my own best guess, I would say this is probably a 1930 Packard Sedan. I'm not a car buff and I'm under 40 years old, so it's hard for me to tell. What I would really like to know is the exact model and name of this vehicle. This particular car looks to me like it was possibly something like a chauffeured version, though I could be wrong. Another thing I would like to find out is what owning a car like this would have meant in the days when it was fairly new. To me, it looks like it was a luxury car and cost quite a bit of money in its time. Please pass along any comments. The photo can be seen at http://www.beehogray.com/warren/bee-ho-ada-in-car.jpgThanks,Clark Gray
Guest imported_Speedster Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I lightened it up some and took the red out, to be able to see some of the darker areas. I don't think it's a Packard but not sure what it is. See Attachment for modified picture:
Clipper47 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Not a Packard. Why not post it in the above "What is it?" forum. There are some very knowledgeable car guys there.
