the best way to know if a relay is good or not is to interchange it with another one that you know already works,most of them are the same.

relays can be tested!

1 remove relay

2 find the coil terminals, look at the drawing on the relay

3 read terminals with ohm meter, if good they will not read open (should be close to zero)

if open then the relay is bad

4 apply the proper voltage (should be 12V) across coil, this will close relay

5 read contact terminals with ohm meter (should be zero, if not the relay is bad)

6 or just replace it and be done with it!
