Hi Dave,

My understanding is that the rear end ratio in a self shiter car is 3.6/1

Will the ring and pinion from a self shifter fit into a standard rear end that currently has a 4.4/1 ratio ?

There are a few of us 38 owners who are seriusoly considering have 3.6/1 ring & pinion gear sets custom made for our cars and just want to make sure we are not over looking anything as the cost is quite high.

Your input would be apreciated.
