mopar380 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I received this message through WPC CLub Email so am passing it on here : One of the people that I work with is trying to sell a Maxwell 1904 truck do you know anyone who might be intrested in purchasing the truck? It is in excellent condition. Do any of you know how much the truck is worth? Please respond ASAP because he has someone that is making an offer and I do not want him to get ripped off. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Contact me through email: "EDUARDO SEOANE" <seoane0527@msn.com>
Chuck Richardson Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 According to James Zordich, Maxwell did not make any vehicles in 1904. The first Maxwells were in 1905. The first delivery truck, a Model O, was 1906. If it were a true 1906 Model O I imagine it would be worth quite a lot. Since there are none listed in the registry, it is unlikely to be genuine and thus its worth would be difficult to ascertain. Put it on Ebay and see what the market tells you.
kjellg Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Standard Catalog of American Cars, 2. ed. states: Maxwell had a pilot production, run in Tarrytown, that produced 10 cars in 1904. 823 more followed the next year. All of these Maxwells were designated 1905 models
