J.C. Whitney has a number of universal car covers under $50. You could also try Pep Boys and even Wal Mart for a universal cover.

It may be tough, however. Most universal covers are going to be made to fit cars with modern proportions. The tall 1930's cars would really benefit from a custom fitted cover, which would cost at least 3 times as much.

You could luck out with a universal cover that fits a minivan, PT Cruiser, or small truck, but that'd be a pure hit/miss propostion. It won't be easy.

If you have a Big Lots new you, you can get them for $15 -$20 each

and have money left over. They'll last as long as any of the paper

based covers. Not recommeded for outside long term storage but fine

for garage queens.

Hmm- haven't seen any car covers in the local Big Lots, though they seem to have beaucoups of everything else! I'll keep an eye out.

Last cover I bought was a fancy dan model, custom fit, outdoor rated etc etc. It's a good cover, but the thing is made of what looks like a parachute material and slides off itself when you're folding it up off the sides of the car. Makes for a fun job trying to take it on or off.

Call my good friend Steve Behnke in Wisconsin. He will talk with you about how you want to use it and get you the EXACT cover you need for your car. It will show up quickly too. They have great warranties that are backed. I just put one through it's 1st blizzard as you may know from my other thread.

He is a great guy with a good family who has survived more than anyone should have to in the last 3 years (cancer, car wreck and other bad things) This is his only income so you can help him while he helps you. (Please Keep this to yourself as he is a proud man who wants to stand on his own)

Tell him I said HI!
