Guest CL_Reatta Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Hi everyone, I am going to work on my brakes tomorrow,(remove all four tires at once) and was looking in the service manual and saw that the floor jack goes in the middle of the frame in the front and the back, was wondering if I could use my 4 jack stands on the part of the frame where the spare tire jack goes, and then put my floor jack in the front middle part of the front frame to stop the car from tilting from the weight of the engine. or is that to much weight for the spare tire jack section of the frame? Comments/Suggestions?
Roadster90 Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Great post/question Brian....,in fact it would be nice to know all or any of the locations that could be construed as "safe" ?
jonlabree Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 There are four positions that will hold a jack stand. One on each side of the front behind the front wheels. On the edge of the body. And one on each side in front of the rear wheels.

It's nice to see one of our younger generation that can spell "BRAKES", not "BREAKES". (Sorry, just one of my pet peeves.)
Guest CL_Reatta Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Ha, yeah I know what your talking about, just like I hate when people say "I didn't do nothin" so you must have done something then, right? Anyway's I got my brakes bled since my fluid looked like coffee, and my brakes work a little better now, but I still need an accumulator, and now I need new front struts since with the tires off I can see the oil leaking out of them.
