marvel mystery oil

this 2301 that I recently bought has a marvel mystery oil top end luber mounted on the fire wall with a line going to the intake manifold. I need to find some info on this,thanks miker <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I do know that Marvel Oil is Great stuff as a fuel additive, I've used it in cars, boats and even aircraft engines. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

the one cap unscrews and you adjust the knob under there for about 2 drops every 10 sec at idile i have on on my clipper special, and a manual around some where i think

Is there any advantage of having an automatic oil dispenser like that, other than not having to pour more into gas tank at every gasoline fill up? What happens if you let the dispenser run dry, does it pull air into intake manifold?

Yes if it runs out it will just get sucked back up from the intake vacuum, and the tank hols over a quart of MMO

BEWARE: MM oil will dissolve some tank sealers.
