56 special speedo

Hello Everyone.

The speedo on my 56 special is starting to make noise. Does

anyone know if it can be lubricated or the head needs to be

repaired? Cable problem?

Try lubing the cable first with speedo cable grease there's a good chance that's your problem.......Bob

Best way is to unscrew the cable nut from the back of the speedo and pull the core completly out of the casing. Rub it with a soft rag to feel for broken strands. If you find any broken or rough replace the core. If it's just dry, relube it.......Bob.
