Guest De Soto Frank Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 '67-'72 Pick-up ? Looks like from a 3/4 or 1-ton ?
Dave@Moon Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I think that all 1967-1972 dog dish type Chevy truck hubcaps had a painted ring on them. Most (if not all) of the earlier 1960's hubcaps had a "geared" appearance embossed into them, and were not this smooth or simple. 1950's hubcaps generally had several bowties set in a circle. Also I'm not aware of a gold bowtie used before the mid-1970's. I believe this may be off of a light commercial van or some other utility model, possibly in the 1980's. It could be that they're from an early Astro van.
Guest De Soto Frank Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Dave,Yeah, come to think of it, you're right about some of the '67-'72 having that "gear" motif - black on a white background...The yellow bow-tie with the black outline has me a little baffled - the first thing I thought of was early '70s Chevy LUV... <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
