Help identify a genarator

I have a Delco Remy generator that I can't remember where it came from. the number

on the tag reads "102709 9K 18". It might be from the '39 Pontiac I used to have,

But I'd like to know for sure. Thanks

That number shows up as a 1950 Buick.
