Information on 1946 Lincoln Continental

Good Evening Gentleman,

Firstly, as this is my first post, I should introduce myself.

I am a Spanish builder living in a small town, Nerja, 35 miles east of Malaga and for my sins, I am President of our local Classic Car Club. One of our new members has just acquired a 1946 Cabriolet and I , on his behalf, would like as much information on this model.

All I have is the chassis number 91H56201 and this photograph.

I would appreciate links to webs that can give me production figures, technical data, location of vin plates etc.

Mauricio, That is one beautiful car! It appears to be in a great state of condition. The first thing that confuses me is the VIN number that you give us. 91H56201 does not appear to be a correct number. Unless export models were given a 9 prefix I am confused. Is it possible that the number is H156201? This would place the car as a very late 1946 model. Giving the correct VIN to the Ford Museum along with about $20 US, they will look up the date of manufacture and shipping date along with assesories installed on the car at the factory.
