millerleft Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 For those of you with a 1991 with gray interior. Rustoleum Smoke Gray spray paint is an EXACT match for everything from the steering wheel to the seats to the dash surround and on and on.I`m not just talking a close match. It is exact.Krylon makes a smoke gray gloss, that`s NOT it! Rustoleum Smoke Gray. What is the difference between grey and gray?Just wondering.
Don B. Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Now if you can find a matching color for the engine valve covers, that would be awesome.
Guest Jim Piro Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I just bought a new front cover from Gmparts direct. Painted valve covers will not hold up. Buy new when you can and save the old to do your paint experiments.
Vincent Vega Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 My oldest 88 has aluminum valve covers. They were painted from the factory. The other ones are molded color plastic of some sort. The paint is failing badly on the aluminum ones. The paint that is left has faded to a beige color.
