justfish89
Anyone have a pair of good Tan 16 way seats in good condition for a '90 model ? If so,how much for them ?
pketch
Now I might be wrong here but if you are putting these in a car that came with the standard ones you are going to run into a problem. I beleive that your wiring will not be up to the task.
pketch
I stand corrected. If anyone should know Barney would. If he says that they will work then I would believe him.
So there you go. Good luck in your hunt
2reattas
I looked at the harness on my non 16 way, wiring harness is the same gague as 16 way.
I have a set of blue 16ways. The switch on the side of pass. seat is for thigh support.
padgett
Stange, on my '88 with 16way, the passenger thigh support is fixed, the single switch on the side of the seat reclines the back. There is a conventional (identical to driver's side) power seat control for the other functions on the door.
Barney Eaton
Thanks for the confidence in my ability... but hopefully I didn't say changing the seats was a sure thing.... If the extra connector is there, you should be able to install the 16 way seat. The connector for the standard seat, gets it signal from the door controls... all the "extra" functions for the 16 way are on the side of the seat so all you need is 12V source and ground to make them work....
The passanger side seat only has the power recliner as a mate to the drivers seat. 2reattas
I just assumed that the switch on the pass. seat was for thigh supp., I dont have any juice to the car and didnt look at the switch on the door.I stand corrected.
Barney Eaton
Note. I convirmed on my 1990 coupe that the connectors are there (under both seats) if you were to add 16 way seats to one with standard seats.
