PCM removal in 1988 RIviera

OK...I need to remove the PCM on this Riv. WHERE it it, and how do I get to it?? is it the computer mounted next to the HVAC programmer, OR is it jammed against the very right side of the kick panel(and VERY hard to get at!!).... I don't want to remove the wrong thing. I thought the BCM in these cars was between the seats, near the CRT controller in the front of the console...But the one next to the programmer may be the BCM and I need the PCM (engine computer).

I have not ever removed an ECM[PCM} from an 88 riv but back in the late 80s early 90s GM was big on mounting the unit under the right kick panel, there should be two long thin connectors running two it. The other modual may be a controler for the hvac or comfortron if so equipped.

I looked this up at work today in the ProQuest GM Parts Electronic Parts Catalog. It shows the PCM

in a exploded view of underhood engine components. It is probably on the front of the wheel housing opposite of the battery, facing the front of the car. It may have a black plastic shield/retainer on it also. Should have two wire harnesses attached to it, twenty to thirty-something count of wires with accordian plastic wire loom over it.
