tbirdman Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Looking for a picture of a 32 coupe roadster original door panels. I've seen them various ways and can't figure out which is correct.
West Peterson Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I've been through the Detroit Library's Packard files and they are full of original factory photographs of interiors. Although they charge between $24-40 to have a photo reproduced, sometimes it's worth it to see the original detail in the dashboards, seats, and door panels. Most are clear, crisp shots that allow you to see whether something was high gloss, satin, or flat (or even wrinkle finish).

West Peterson Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Talk to Mark Patrick at the National Automotive History Collection (part of the Detroit Public Library), 10am-6pm.313-628-2785mpatric@detroit.lib.mi.usHe knows me, but mentioning my name will not get you any freebies.I notice from their website that they'll make photocopies for 20 cents, plus $2 for mailing.
tbirdman Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 West,Exchanged emails with Mark and he said he look for me. I also have another guy from Missouri who's mailing pictues today of an original door panel. He was very nice person. He had just moved and couldn't find his original photos that he had promised he would send. So he took pictures today, had them developed and is sending them today. He called to let me know what he had done. I consider that a very nice gesture which I shall try to repay.
