Now that my sunroof is finally out of the way (I have pictures BTW if anyone wants to see them), I have moved onto the defrost grid. So far I have only gotten 4 of the 12 lines to work and it doent look the greatest since the conductive pen ink is silver. Does anyone know where and how much a new grid would cost?

Sir,

Ther is some conductive silver paint which I have used to repair broken

tracks and it well might help you. If your rear defrost lines on the glass

have been interrupted by a break, this paint seems to be excellent. It

is available at some electronics stores. It is highly conductive, but not

likely of low enough resistance to replace a complete resistive line.

It is "Circuit Works Conductive Pen" made by

ITW Chemtronics, 8125 Cobb Center Dr.

I used it to repair a bad photoluminescent panel.

Jack C.

Well that is the thing, I am using that pen, but it comes out a silver color, and I used pencil to try to fix it earlier this year so I cant try to fix the lines by using a continuity tester. So that is why I would like to know the pricing of a whole new grid.

Brian, the place i went to in delaware that i told you about, might have what your looking for. i am PRETTY sure that you cant jsut walk in somewher, and buy a new grid, i think if the damage is that bad, you may want to consider replacing the glass. the guy down there, Jim Blue, said he is tired of the reatta stuff, so he may be willing to let it go for a steal. idk. hope this helps

Blue's Auto service

he has limited interior parts, but 2 very nice engines, exterior kinda things. he has a maroon 89, with interior stuff. all rear glass, 2 red doors(no glass) just give him a call, hes willing to deal, to get these cars out of his way.

hope this helps anybody, and the number is his cell, just so you know.
