Guest nebraskamax
Anyone know the differences, if any between U.S. and Canadian Maxwells for 1918? Also, did Canada use the same numbering sequences on their engines and body serial numbers? Thanks.

The body may be dfferent as Maxwell used Canadian suppliers for body parts, wiring, hoses, bulbs and the like. Engine numbers and serial numbers fell in with the U.S. production as all engines were shipped over from Detroit. It was not until the 1926 models that Chrysler (sucessor to Maxwell-Chalmers) began using unique serial numbers and 1938 for engines.
