astonrickenbach Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I had to rebuild my computer so I lost all my bookmarks. A year or so ago I had purchased some parts online from a junkyard which I believe was in Arizona. They had something like 400 reattas in their yard which they were selling for parts. Anyone familar with that website? My future sister in law backed into my reatta damaging the outer lower lens on rear passenger side and damaging small filler piece underneath it. $ 890 quote to repair using new parts. $ 290 for outer lens and $ 190 for inner lens. $ 150 in labor to repair the filler piece. Thanks and happy thanksgiving,Phil
Guest Ranger Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 You're probably thinking of Speedway Automotive aka www.thebuickplace.com, I used them once, for a window regulator in my '85 Riv. convert. I was told to bring in my core, I waited for about an hour, while the counter man went "back to pull the regulator" he came back with a regulator with a nice new white plastic strip, paid them $250.00. I brought the regulator back to my mechanic who told me it was my old regulator with a new strip (he could tell by the tool marks). It turned out the new strip could be bought from J.C. Whitney for about $15. I haven't been back to them since.I use Jim Finn: jfinn@cpinternet.com he's more than fair and above reproach.Good luck
Guest F14CRAZY Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 I also suggest Jim Finn. He's honest and his prices are not insane

manikmekanik Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I have a few parts cars, and may have the part(s) you need!!First, what color filler do you need? I may have a matching color part, which would save you $$$$ in painting services....and - what year is your Reatta? It does'nt matter for the parts you've requested, but may be crucial in the future. My parts cars are all '89, although I have plenty of '88 parts as well.Send me a PM with your wish list.
astonrickenbach Posted November 27, 2006 Author Posted November 27, 2006 Thanks for the great info. Here is a pic of the 2 damage parts. Passenger side rear on a white 88 coupe. Please open the attachment to view. Would be nice to get filler piece in white but I am planning on painting the car next summer anyhow. Thanks guys,Phil
Guest C.F.Massie Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 You might be talking about Mike at buickreattaparts.com , he has been a great source of Reatta parts for me. His business is in Maricopa, Arizona and he usually has a good number of Reattas there. You can reach him at this email address orders@buickreattaparts.com, you may also want to look at his website. He is a great guy to do business with, and Jim Finn falls into that catagory also. Both these gentlemen are great supporters of this Reatta discussion board.
