Door Lock Cylinder Light - Question

Recommended Posts

I have a 1989 Reatta that I acquired a few years back. It is in execellent condition and I have been slowly fixing the remaining electrical issues on the vehicle. There is one, however, that I am unable to resolve.

Inside each door is a thin (fiber optic like) wire that takes light from the door courtesy light (the red/white one at the bottom inside of each door) and brings light up to the lighted ring around the door lock. This is a translucent ring around the door lock cylinder itself.

the problem is that someone has cut that wire. I do not have anought slack to reroute it and affix it to the courtesy light again. Futhermore, the connector between the courtesy light and the wire is missing.

Where in the world can I find a replacement wire and/or connector for this application?

Do I need to buy and entire wire harness?

If so, are they even still available?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for your help. I saw the door locks on EBay yesterday and inquired with cjblue015 if he had the accompanying wire. He told me that he just sold them. Small world.
