TN2Lane Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Okay, it's obviously a brass gas tank. Can anyone identify what it came from?Measurements are 25" x 14" x 10", which works out to 16 gallons capacity. The main cap has a distinctive "Gasoline" script, there's a smaller secondary cap either for venting or inserting a gauge, and there's an unusual petcock built into the tank.
D Binger Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Are you sure the tank is brass? It looks like it is copper.
TN2Lane Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 That's the lovely patina. I polished spots on the ends and main body, and it's definitely brass.
1937hd45 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Very nice tank, Welcome to the Forum! At first glance it looks European, have you measured any of the hardware or checked the thread pitch?
richie3 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 If you have interest in selling the tank, please let me know.Thanksrwill1914@aol.com
