CBoz Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Ok folks, here they are:http://www.rmauctions.com/AuctionResults...;Category=Cars#Ranked from highest to lowest. Basically, the top sellers were extremely rare models, such as the supercharged T-bird. The '37 coupe came in 10th (not bad for a model with production levels of 5199) -- but read these results with caution: this was the ex-Roy Thorson car, and is probably unique with regard to the level of detail and authenticity. Still it's interesting to note that it was priced virtually the same as a '41 Continental in similar condition, and somewhat above a '40 Conty. The lowly Zephyr makes a comeback!

sonofthor Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Yep. Heard from Dad via email and he is somewhat stunned at the price of his former ride. It's considerably more than what he sold it for so he could concentrate on the '36 Coupe Sedan - that's for sure! I'll always have fond memories of taking the '37 onto the interstate near Green Valley, Arizona; shifting into overdrive and effortlessly cruising at 70 mph! The last time I saw the car was at the St. Louis meet in 2000. Jerry Capizzi was more than gracious in posing it next to Dad's '36 so I could capture pictures of "Dad's" two Zephyrs together. Great memories! The last we heard on the '36 was that it may end up (hopefully) donated to the Lincoln Foundation and placed on loan to a museum. Craig Thorson
