Guest Jeffn Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Is it true that our cars have no front sway bar? Fantastic really-maybe one wold tie the flexible flyer front end together. Anyone have one installed? Also. anyone have a design for the early style hoods for a shock tower strut? Perhaps individual ones tied to the firewall.
Hemi Dude Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Sure they have a sway bar and the 16V cars have an even heavier one than most other FWD Mopars.
TwinCamFan Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hmm, Mr Nelson, I would have figured you'd been under your car at least once <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> Your control arm bushings are probably rotten if they are original, that'll loosen up the front to scary proportions. If you have the early 'single pivot' K frame, the later 'double pivot' helps tremendously... Availble in just about any junkyard near you, pretty involved though, might as well do hubs and ball joints and tie rods while you are there. World of difference on my TC... Alan
Guest Jeffn Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 How'd I miss it? I try to stay on top of or inside my car instead of under it.I was going to post a thread about how this TC steers and tracks as well as my old M3-fantastic on line stability. Pushing it in turns however-as long as they're just paved it's fine.Maybe I'll add a heavier fsb to match the rear and check the bushes.
