Glassesguy Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Hey Everyone:It was a beautiful Fall Day in the Toledo area so I took a 2 hour cruise up to the Buicktown Chapter Swap Meet. For those of you who are regulars on the Forum, Norb, Buick Racer, and The Old Guy are real live people. Norb looked sharp in his blue blazer with a Buick Tri Shield embroidered on it. Seemed like everybody there was talking to Roberta. Her swap table had a nice 71 A body grille, but right next to it was a very nice 41 Limited Sales Catalog. I didn't ask the price figuring if I had to ask, I couldn't afford it anyway. Guess I just missed seeing The Old Guy as he had to get to a family open house. Picked up a set of repro 38 Service Bulletins from Dan Bower who has lots of lit on Ebay. Finally splurged and bought the Motor Max 57 Roadmaster convertible from former Chapter Director Dave Langdon. You may know this model was produced using Buicktown member Bob Cushman's 57 Roadmaster as the example. It was nice to see familiar faces and enjoy a beautiful Michigan Fall day. Unfortunately, a yard full of leaves back in Ohio forced this good time to end. Just wanted let Forum users to know these are good people to know and they know their Buicks!
The Old Guy Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Sorry I missed you Dave! My oldest son just finished building his house, and I wouldnt miss a thing like this. As much as I love my Buicks, family still comes first.
