Guest
I restored a 1919 Oakland and am looking for information on the number of 1919's out there and anyone who has experience fixing them.
Thanks
Guest
For information go to the library and find a book titled "75 Years of Pontiac Oakland." The book is out of print, and I do not remember the author, but the information seems fairly accurate.
For information on restoration you could try the Pontiac/Oakland at poci.org, (mostly Pontiac, not a lot of Oakland) or look up the Oakland Owners International Club (Oaklands only.) They don't have a website, but if you e-mail me I can give you a few people to contact.
I have a '22 Oakland I am restoring, I will help what I can if you are interested.
cj
oakland1922@yahoo.com

Clincher
Back in the mid nineteen-fifties I had a 1919 Oakland touring car, I think it was a Model 34-B. I drove it for a couple of years and it was a pretty good car, as I recall. I might be able to find a picture of it.
