2003 Regal - Sequential Tail Lights

Recommended Posts

I was thinking of doing this for sometime & finally got around to completing the wiring last month. I'm trying to give my daily driver a very distinctive look! Just left click over the image below to see braking, turn, & hazzard flasher action:

That's a neat vid! What kind of controller runs the rear lights to do what they now do? Just curious . . .

Enjoy!

HAHAHA!!!!!

isnt that something!!! the guy that runs foxthundercats created that site for ford fox body tbirds and cougars, and helped another guy in the hobby create foxtbirdcougarforums.com, of which im a member (i also have an 87 cougar)

thats a very popular thing for us tbird and cougar guys to get because of the long tailights we have with three bubls so it looks real cool, and the OLD tbirds had sequential turn signals.

i just never imagined id see the place mentioned here! i figured only us on the fox forum knew about the place! i still gotta get myself a set of those.

Thanks guys! David, this project ran me about $100. However, the person doing the prototype always pays more. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> If you join RegalGS.org, foxthundercats provides our members with a nice discount on the sequencer module. The forum is free & specializes in '97.5 - 2004 Regals, but is open to all. You may find some other interesting mods for your 2001 GS. For instance, one member just finished putting a new version of the SLP GSX rear deck spoiler into production. It looks awesome.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you my install instructions for the sequencer in either a Word or PDF file attachment. Let me know which format you prefer!

What do think of my GN Cowl hood? (left click over image to enlarge)

I'd like to do this on my 65 as well.

My first post here,I added the sequential lights to my '79 Limited,I've been hooked to the feature since I was 8-10 years old and saw an old Cougar turning right with the signal on.I purchased mine from Ebay but it came with everything that I needed for the conversion(HD flasher unit, extra 1157 sockets),can't remember the name of the outfit but I could check if anyone is interested.I believe that it was about $75.00,money well spent,I really like them.By the way, your car looks very nice.

Hey RegalWizard,

Thanks for all the good information and details.

I picked up a sweet '96 Lincoln Continental with 52,000 miles to replace my 132,000 '96 DeVille Concours that I will sell soon. I will have to check with that company to see if they have a 5 sequential light system as this year of Continental has a full width tail light reminiscent of a '60 Buick.

If you have seen one of these, you will know what I mean, the trunk has 4 running lights per side and then there are the end signal/brake lights.

David
