Guest kevinshea
This is another NOS horn that I have --- a trumpet horn, Sparton Model J17 6V... In the box -- the box has a few handwritten # on it -- one 91A-13833 (might suggest a Ford) and 522-7735048 with a lone 70The Sparton sticker is still on the underside of the bell. mrpushbutton
I used to have a set of 6V horns like that (30's-40's vintage) on my '79 GMC pick-up. I bought them at Hershey for about $10. Ran them on 12V and they were LOUD. When you hit the horn the attack was instant--and people noticed. I also replaced the missing bumper with a piece of 8" I-beam--rusty.
