Friend has 49 rocket..

Hello,i just wanted to ask advice on what i should do.A man i know took me down behind his house and there in the woods was a 1949 OLDS Rocket...Are these cars rare? I had sold an old ww11 p-38n engine for him a while back and was wondering if i should see if he wants to sell the olds among many others he showed me(including a 1951 Caddilac hears with only 15k on it!)..I always liked the sixties muscle cars but don't know a lot about these older cars.Any advice is appreciated.

I guess that would mean what exactly "in the woods" would mean. If you're in a dry part of the country, in the woods might mean a restorable car. If you're in the Eastern third of the country, odds are the car is too far gone. Check it out to see the overall condition and model, take some pictures, and post it to see if there's any interest.

Thanks Dave,it is back behind his house in mostly weeds.It looked pretty good on a cursory examination,but i haven't gotten 'down and dirty' because he is such a strange man,and very backwards in a lot of ways.I may go down sometime soon and check it out better.The one i was really interested in was a 51 cadillac ambulance with only fifteen k original miles.He has quite a few old ones.I appreciate your advice.
