ronvb
I have recently purchased a 1990 Reatta and have only 1 set of keys. Where do I get another set, since there is sometype of chip in the ignition key I assume this is dealer only? Can they still be purchased thru the Buick dealer? glassartdesign@msn.com

Guest
I got an extra set of keys made at my local Buick dealer, so your dealer should be able to duplicate yours. The chip reads out in their machine & sets the same coding into the new keys.
Mike Book
BCA # 9202
Reatta Club # 407
BDE #
Jhellman
Recently got an extra key for a 90 Reatta. Cost $17 at a local locksmith. Make sure the new key works before you leave the shop!
Richard S
I went through this a while back. With the forum's help I used a common multimeter to read the chip's resistance and took that to any decent locksmith. He confirmed the reading with his own device, duplicated the key, and viola. Lots less than the dealer and works the same.
